Giving & Rewards

Give River lets you personally align with causes and charities that matter to you. Your selections are displayed on the Charity Channel alongside your teammates' choices and are reflected in the River Rankings leaderboard.

The Charity Channel is your organization's hub for social impact. It surfaces the causes and charities your team cares about, shows what your colleagues have chosen to support, and makes it easy for you to discover and align with a cause of your own.

The Drop Shop is where you spend the River Drops you have earned through recognition, challenges, and engagement. You can browse custom rewards created by your organization, redeem Tango gift cards from major brands, and review your past redemptions — all in one place.

Admins can send a Tango gift card directly to one or more team members as a gift — without the recipient needing to redeem it themselves. This feature is called Dispatch.

Every time you send or receive a recognition drop, Give River brings that moment to life on the Map of Good Deeds — an animated, location-aware map that shows where acts of recognition are happening across your team. After you post a recognition, you are taken through a short animated sequence that culminates in the map and a snapshot of where you and your team currently stand in the season.

Give River integrates with Tango, a third-party gift card platform, to offer team members a broad catalog of brand-name gift cards redeemable with their earned River Drops. This integration is optional and must be enabled by an administrator before members can access gift cards in the Drop Shop.
