Team & Community
Your team hub, the recognition feed, chat, and stickers.
Announcements are admin-posted messages that appear at the top of the Home page, above surveys and events. They are designed for important team communications that need visibility — policy updates, company news, shout-outs, or anything the whole team should see. Announcements can include images, emoji reactions, and comments.
Caption This is a two-part creative team game in Give River. Your host shows an image, everyone writes a funny caption for it, and then the team votes for their favorites. The captions with the most votes win the round — and, when rewards are configured, earn Drops based on the votes they collect.
Company Trivia is a team game inside Give River. Your admin publishes a trivia game, which is delivered as a series of timed rounds of multiple-choice questions. Each round is open for a set window, and while it's open every team member can play once to earn points, climb the round leaderboard, and (when configured) collect Drops.
Team Events keep everyone informed about what's happening — virtual calls, in-person gatherings, or hybrid sessions. Events appear on the Home page as swipeable cards and can optionally include a dedicated chat room for attendees.
Give River gives you a way to control how posts are ordered in your Home Feed.
Give River includes an animated sticker picker inside posts and comments. You can browse a large library of animated stickers by category, search by keyword, and attach a sticker to a post or send one as a comment on an existing post.
Give River events can now include in-app group video — a live webinar, an interactive team call, or a synced watch party — right inside the app. During a video event a host can hand out 💧 Drops in the moment, and everyone sees the recognition celebrated on screen in real time. Hosts can also run live Trivia where correct answers automatically award Drops.
Your Give River Journal is a private, chronological record of everything you have done on the platform. It is visible only to you and captures your recognition activity automatically — no manual writing required.
The Home Feed is your central view of recognition activity across your team — a live, scrollable stream of posts where colleagues celebrate each other, share drops, and tag core values.
Polls let admins collect a quick vote from the team. They appear on the Home page and stay live until their expiry date. Team members can vote once; results update in real time.
Every post in the feed supports emoji reactions and a threaded comment section, so your team can acknowledge and amplify recognition moments beyond just sending drops.
Predict the Coworker is a "read the room" team game in Give River. Each prompt asks something like "Who's most likely to reply to email at midnight?" and lists a few teammates as the options. The twist: you don't pick who you think — you try to pick who the group will pick. Match the crowd's most-popular answer and you earn Drops.
Reflections are short, visually designed prompts that guide team members to pause, think, and respond to a daily question or theme. They appear on the Wellspring page as portrait-format cards and are only available when your admin has enabled the Daily Reflections feature for your team.
Riverside Chat is the in-app messaging system inside Give River. It supports one-to-one direct messages and group chats, including special charity and cause channels tied to your team's recognition programme.
Team Games are fun, interactive activities built into Give River to help your team connect. The first game is live:
The Team Hub is where your team talks. It holds your group chats, your team roster, and your team's profile.
Wellspring is where wellbeing lives in Give River. It gathers the calmer parts of the app in one place — a moment to breathe, a daily reflection, and wellness activities that earn you drops.
Would You Rather is a light, opinion-based team game in Give River. Instead of testing what you know, it asks what you prefer — "Would you rather work a 4-day week or work from anywhere?" There are no wrong answers: you pick the option you like, and the fun is seeing how the rest of your team voted.
