Admin & Management
For admins: members, Seasons, Drop settings, and insights.
Give River can email selected admins whenever something needs approval — a reward or gift-card redemption, a new-member join request, or a member-removal request — and send reminders while an item stays pending. You configure this from the Settings > Notifications tab.
The Admin Audit Log captures admin-initiated actions across the platform for accountability and historical reference. It answers questions like "Who approved that reward request?", "When was this member's role changed?", and "What HRIS settings were updated last week?"
The Billing portal lets admins view and manage the team's subscription, review invoices, and see subscription history. Payments are processed through Stripe.
Drop settings control how recognition currency (drops) are allocated, distributed, and counted across your team. These settings are found under Settings > Features and Settings > Rewards Account (billing page).
The Dashboard is the screen admins land on when they switch into Admin view. It surfaces the most important things to act on right now — who your River Guide is, what's happening this season, and the action items that need your attention — and sits alongside the other admin sections (Engage, Insights, Our Team, Rewards, Settings, and Help Center). For how the admin sections and their sub-sections are organized, see Admin Navigation.
The Impact Dashboard gives admins a view of your team's collective good deeds and recognition activity. It's separate from the Insights analytics dashboard — where Insights focuses on engagement metrics and trends, Impact shows the direct output of your team's recognition culture.
The Insights hub gives admins a comprehensive view of team health, engagement patterns, recognition activity, and growth metrics. It is organized into nine tabs, each covering a different analytics domain.
The Members area lets admins view, add, edit, and remove team members, manage departments, locations, and positions, and control member access roles.
Give River separates the everyday member experience from the admin management
Give River can automatically send email notifications to team members at key moments in their journey. Admins configure which emails are enabled from the Settings > Notifications tab.
The Admin Research Center — also referred to as Leadership Resources — provides admins with educational content, help videos, and contextual guidance embedded throughout the platform. These resources are designed to help admins make the most of Give River's features.
Tags in Give River are hashtags that members attach to drops to indicate which core value or theme a recognition moment aligns with. Admins create and manage the organization's tag list, and members see these tags when composing drops.
Health Challenges are real-world wellbeing activities — run a 5K, take a screen-free day, journal for a week — that members complete on their own, claim with a note or photo, and earn drops for once you approve.
Admins can connect River Runs to Seasons — time-bound engagement campaigns with goals, rewards, and team targets. When a Season is configured with a Learning goal, employees are directed toward River Run activity as part of that Season's objectives. This is the primary mechanism for assigning River Runs to employees at scale.
When creating a season in Give River, the platform provides AI-powered insights on your season analytics once the season is underway. During the season creation wizard, the system also offers structured goal-selection guidance and smart duration defaults to help admins configure seasons that align with their team objectives.
The AI Survey Insights Report surfaces an AI-generated summary of survey results on the Survey Analytics detail page. It analyzes response data across all question types and provides a plain-language interpretation to help admins quickly understand what the data means.
The CSV import tool lets admins add multiple members at once by uploading a spreadsheet file. The import uses a guided five-step flow with automatic column mapping, reference data verification, and a final review before any data is written.
Custom Awards are one-off recognitions an admin defines and hands out manually — separate from automatic season rewards and from Badges (which are earned automatically). You manage them under Rewards → Awards.
SMART Goals lets every member set personal goals with milestone steps that pay drops on approval. As an admin you control the workflow rules, curate templates, watch the organization-wide picture, and act as the approval backstop.
Give River includes a Rewards Dashboard that administrators use to manage the recognition and reward programme for their organization. The dashboard is the foundation of performance management on the platform.
Give River uses a role system to control what each person can see and do. There are three roles: User, Manager, and Admin. Your role is assigned by your organization's administrator.
When you create a new season in Give River, the first decision is choosing the season type. The type determines whether participants compete as individuals or as organized teams, and it shapes which features and settings are available throughout the rest of the wizard.
The Survey Series Comparison tool lets admins compare results from multiple surveys that belong to the same series. Instead of reviewing each survey in isolation, you can place them side by side to identify trends, shifts in sentiment, and which questions showed the most change over time.
Surveys let admins gather structured feedback from the team using a variety of question formats. Members work through one question at a time with a progress bar, and responses can optionally be kept anonymous. Admins can view response rates and eNPS score trends in the Insights dashboard.
Team settings control your organization's profile, branding, privacy rules, invite links, and the structural details of your Give River workspace. These are found under Settings > Team Details.
Team Games are Give River's interactive, host-run activities — Company Trivia, Would You Rather, Predict the Coworker, and Caption This. They share one scoring/reward engine under the hood.
